Thank you for considering Shore Acres as a location for your event.
During our summer season our lakeside restaurant is available for your use from approximately 10:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. In our off season the restaurant is available for private parties at night. Our restaurant seats approximately 70 people. With the use of the lobby tables we can fit in up to 10 more people. The minimum number of people we would like to serve is 40 adults.
Because of our interior layout we serve sit down dinners; not buffet style. Our price per person starts at $45.00. This price includes: a fresh garden salad home baked bread, our signature apple island chicken entree (a sautéed boneless breast of chicken served with a reduced apple cider sauce), sautéed vegetables, potatoes and coffee. Vermont’s 9% tax and a 18% gratuity charge are not included. Children under 12 eat at half price and children under 6 are not charged.
We are very flexible with our entrées and many times we offer selections of two or three entrées usually involving chicken, beef and a fresh fish selection (these choices are considered an upgrade). Appetizers are not included but can be added, see the list below. Wedding cakes can be brought in and Shore Acres can offer suggestions.
Please note: when the dining room is rented in the off season the prices vary.
The bar service can be open or closed. An open bar is paid for by the host party. Vermont’s 10% liquor sales tax plus a 18% gratuity charge is added to the open bar. A closed bar is paid for by the individual guests. With both an open or closed bar we have a bartender charge of $25.00 per hour. We are very flexible with our bar service: full bar versus beer and wine.
White linens for your group will have to be rented. The price range, based on the number of people, is $175.00 to $275.00. This includes tablecloths and napkins. If other colors are required we have rental sources. In season for each table we provide bus vases with our in house flowers at no charge. Other larger and special arrangements are available through Shore Acres at an extra charge or can be brought in. Shore Acres will help set up the dining room at the host’s requests. We will help plan your lay-out with the number and size of each table including the head table.
Our lobby can be set up for a small band, disc jockey or dancing.
We will need a final count of the number of people attending and the choice selections two weeks prior to the event. That is the number of entrees our chef will order and prepare for and the number you will be charged for. We cannot accept cancellations after the host has turned in the final count. We can accept add ones at the price reached per person.
Once you have chosen the date for your event we will need a $500.00 deposit, refundable if given 90 days prior to the event. The second deposit of $1,500.00 is due two weeks before the event when the final count is received. The final payment can be made at the end of the event.
