2013 Private Parties (During the Day)

party at shore acres, vermont Thank you for considering Shore Acres as a location for your event. Our restaurant sits directly on Lake Champlain with panoramic views of the Green Mountains. Our breathtaking setting is a perfect backdrop for your celebration.

During our summer season our lakeside restaurant is available for your use from approximately 10:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. In our off-season the restaurant is available for private parties at night. Our restaurant seats approximately 70 people. With the use of the lobby tables we can accommodate an additional 10 more people. The minimum number of people we would like to serve is 40 adults.

Rental Fee

Our rental fee to reserve “The Lake Champlain Room” for your event is $500.00.

Sit Down Dinners

Lake Champlin Room can be had for private parties! Because of our interior layout we serve sit down dinners; not buffet style. Our price per person starts at $47.50. This price includes: artisan cheese and cracker appetizer, a fresh garden salad, home baked bread, our signature apple island chicken entree (a sautéed boneless breast of chicken served with a reduced apple cider sauce) sautéed vegetables, potatoes and coffee. Vermont’s 9% tax and a 20% gratuity charge are not included. (Children under 12 eat at half price and children under 6 are not charged.)

We are very flexible with our entrees and we can offer two or three selections consisting of poultry, beef, pork and fresh fish at the same $47.50 price per person. Based on your choices some items will have an upgrade charge; for example: Rack of Lamb, Sliced Roasted Beef Tenderloin and some types of fresh fish. Appetizers are not included but can be added. We offer a variety of appetizers for $12.00 per person and could include items such as shrimp cocktail, chicken and beef satay, stuffed mushrooms, etc. Wedding cakes may be brought in from the cake company of your choice.

Please note: when the dining room is rented in the off-season the prices would vary.

Bar Service

The bar service can be open or closed. The host party pays for an open bar. Vermont’s 10% liquor sales tax plus a 15% gratuity charge is added to the open bar. A closed bar is paid for by the individual guests. With both an open or closed bar we have a per bartender charge of $25.00 per hour. We are very flexible with our bar service: full bar vs. beer and wine.

White Linens

White linens for your group will have to be rented. The price range, based on the number of people, is $150.00 (up to 50 people) to $250.00 (over 50 people). This includes tablecloths and napkins. If other colors are preferred we have rental sources and prices are variable. In season for each table we provide bud vases with our in-house flowers at no charge. Other larger and special arrangements are available through Shore Acres at an additional charge or may be brought in by another florist of your choice. Shore Acres will help set up the dining room at the host’s request. We will help plan your layout with the number and size of each table including the head table.

Music

Our lobby can be set up for a small band, disc jockey or dancing.

Deposit & Miscellaneous

We will need a final count of the number of people attending and the dinner choice selections two weeks prior to the event. That is the number of entrees our chef will order and prepare for and the number you will be charged for. We cannot accept cancellations after the host has turned in the final count. We can accept add-ons at the agreed price per person (based on entrée choice).

Once you have chosen the date for your event we will need a $1,000.00 deposit (refundable only if given 90 days). The second deposit of $1,000.00 is due two weeks before the event when the final count is received. The final payment can be made at the end of the event.
